MetaEdit – global meta data editing software |
Generally when saving a file some additional information about the file is saved. This data is usually stored in the file you are saving. This data is called “Metadata.” It stores important information like the creator, what subject and keywords apply, and what general topics apply. Many enterprise applications like Plumtree use this extra data for generating rich document repositories, making quality metadata important. Most applications don’t enforce metadata entry sensibly. The result is many employees simply accept default values for the metadata.
